Waste Reduction Week

Waste Reduction Week is October 17-23, 2016.

MMSB is proud to be a provincial partner of Waste Reduction Week in Canada.

Waste Reduction Week in Canada is a national campaign that builds awareness around issues of sustainable and responsible consumption; encourages choice for more environmentally responsible products and services; and promotes actions that diverts more waste from landfill and conserves natural resources.

Take Action!

#MyReusableBag
– As a reminder that small actions can have a meaningful impact on the environment, share photos of your reusable bags in action using #MyReusableBag. Join the conversation on sustainable living using #WasteReductionWeek.

MMSB is giving away spooktacular reusable halloween bags to the first 50 social media users in Newfoundland and Labrador who post their reusable bag photos with #MyReusableBag and tag @mmsbnl to either Facebook, Twitter or Instagram (posts must be public). MMSB will reply to the first 50 posts so that you can provide your contact information via private message on Facebook, direct message on Twitter or Instagram Direct – this information will only be used for the purpose of sending you a reusable bag, see MMSB’s privacy policy.
